Obituary
David Lile, 69 of Newton, formerly of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A private family viewing will be held, and then a memorial visitation will be at the Newton VFW, 315 1st Avenue West, Newton, Iowa on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 3-5 pm. Burial will be at a later date.
David was born on July 28, 1945 to Clarence and Alice (Bridges) Lile in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After he graduated he joined the Job Corps and met Nancy Tracey. The two later married in 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and they relocated to Iowa. David worked for Maytag for over 30 years. He was a member of the UAW Union Hall in Newton. David enjoyed spending time with his family, playing bingo, and fishing.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Nancy, of Newton; his children, Lisa Lile of Des Moines, Regina (Terry) Lile of Des Moines, and Jennifer (Tony) Beck of Newton; grandchildren, Tony Beck Jr., Patricia Beck, Chris Lile, James Beck, and Rachel Lile; brothers, Tommie (Dawn) Lile, Mickey Lile; sisters, Sharon Hooten, Dovey Jo, Jane Carroll Payton, and Betty Sugg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers George and Jim, and his sister Julie.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family and left at the VFW at the visitation or mailed to Nancy at 105 N. 2nd Ave. E. Apt. #4H, Newton, Iowa, 50208.
