Diane Marie Martin

Diane M. Martin, 74, of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, passed away on February 23, 2023. She was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to Donald and Erma Bergholz January 4, 1949. She grew up in Phillips, Nebraska with her sister and four brothers. She graduated from Grand Island High School in 1967.She married Robert C. Martin in 1981, and they lived together with their children in Lincoln, NE. Diane is survived by her husband: Robert C. Martin, Daughters: Amy (Jon) Emery of Bondurant, IA; Jennifer (Patrick) Trainor, of Stafford, VA; Marlana (John) Kooistra of Prosperity, SC, Sons: Keith (Amy) Martin, Mount Holly, NC; Kevin (Renee) Martin, Lincoln, NE ; and Kenny Martin, Denver, CO. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Diane was proceeded in death by her parents Donald and Erma Bergholz, brother Richard (Butch) Bergholz, brother-in-law Chuck Bahensky, and brother-in-law Roger Martin.
We will have a small family gathering at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery on March 14th at 11:00am. Donations can be made in her name to Wear Blue to Remember, DAV, Team RWB, Wreaths Across America, or a veteran charity of your choice.
