Obituary
Jennifer Lynn Moon, age 47, passed away suddenly Sunday, November 24, 2024 in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Jennifer, also known to many as Jenny or Jen, and to a select special few as Mom, Grandma or Aunt Jenny; which were all titles that she was so proud to wear. She was born on July 1, 1977 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa attending school in both Cedar Rapids (Prairie) and Marion, graduating with the Class of 1995 from Marion High School.
Jenny loved her family above all else and received her greatest joy from being with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed relaxing with a warm cup of coffee and a good book, binge watching Netflix and watching Sunday Night Football with her husband even though they were a house divided... her team forever being the Dallas Cowboys! Her family recently grew by four paws and her new canine companion, Willow, quickly became the center of her world, filling her heart in ways she never expected!
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Jamie Moon; children, Brandon (Toni) Galloway, Alexis and Dakota Terrill; grandchildren, Aubrey and Bentlee Galloway; parents, Lorrie (Brian) Towle and Tom (Pat) Miller; siblings, Shawnee (Tim) Fry, Derek (Nicole Hindman) Miller, Dalina (Michael Cimaglia) Lacy; step-brothers, Brad (Amy), Blake, and Bruce Towle, and Danny Reid; multiple nieces and nephews; maternal grandmother, Dorris Gerard; paternal grandmother, Maxine Miller; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her very much! She was preceded in death by her niece, Taylor Krueger; step-brother, Jason Clothier; sister-in-law, Hope Moon; mother-in-law, Carlene Douglas; maternal grandfather, Donald Gerard; paternal grandfather, Lynn Miller; and paternal step-grandfather, Frank Willis.
At Jennifer's request, she has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Longbranch Hotel Ballroom, 90 Twixt Town Road, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402. A brief Eulogy and time to share any stories or special memories will be held at the beginning of this gathering.
A memorial fund has been established at GreenState Credit Union in order to help offset any related expenses for the family. Memorials can also be made through the GoFundMe account also established in her name.
