Obituary
Donald Marshall, 56, died Monday March 17th, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Don was born on February 11, 1958 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Robert E. and Betty Lou (Svensen) Marshall. The family lived in several towns around the Midwest, including Humboldt, Iowa where Don graduated high school in 1976. Following high school, Don attained an AA degree from DMACC and continued his education in later years at the U of I, AIB, DMACC and GrandView. Don spent his adult years living in Des Moines and was most recently employed as a Supported Life Tech with Mainstream of Des Moines. Don was involved with many organizations and groups in Polk County that support people with primarily mental health disabilities.
Don is survived by sisters Pam (Steve) Heisdorffer Harper, Iowa Pattie (Mike) Kurtz South English, Iowa and brother Mike (Lara)and Jillian Marshall, Noah Morgan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Cassandra, Joshua and Faith Morgan. Don was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
