Michelle Lynn Danner-Rockett, 45, of Bondurant, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 11, 2018. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Bondurant American Legion Post, 315 2nd Street NW, Bondurant, Iowa, 50035, from 10:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation and begin at 12:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The family request those present wear purple as it was Michelles favorite color.
Michelle was born in Rushville, Illinois on January 26, 1972 to Galen Danner and Diana Walker. She grew up in Illinois and graduated from Beardstown High School in 1990. Following school, she moved to Walla Walla, Washington where she began to raise her family. In 2013 Michelle moved to Bondurant, Iowa and began working for Progress Industries. Her entire life she has worked with special needs individuals. Helping them was more than a job and she was passionate about helping. Michelle was also devoted her life to her family and loved her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, bowling, going to country concerts, swimming, getting massages, playing billiards, listening to music, spending time with animals most especially her dogs, going on vacations, visiting the zoo, eating at Olive Garden, and all things purple.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children Melody (Paul Starnes) Winder, Mykayla Rockett, and Michael Rockett; mother Diana (Marlin Bauer) Danner; her fianc Hillary Yego; grandchildren Chloe Bear, Caden Bubby, Carly Pretty Pretty, to them their grandma was Brown Bear Brown Brown; and her grandparents Dwayne and Shirley Richards.
She was preceded in death by her father Galen.
