I lost my loving caring brother Daryl Heath, this past week. Let me say some things about this man and his life. Daryl was genuinely generous to a fault, he would literally give someone his last $20 and go hungry afterwards, and he was happy that he was able to help a person out. Daryl was loved by everyone he met and helped throughout his too short life. He had so many friends and family.
He very much wanted to be a father and unfortunately had no children of his own. Daryl loved and he mentored as many children as he could. These children he fondly called his godchildren and would tell many stories about them. We do not know all the names of the children now turned adults that he helped over the years. We have reached out to those that we could, to make it clear they will be included in our future plans for a memorial in the form of a Celebration of Life Ceremony. This ceremony to be held in his honor, where his friends and family could share one of his favorite meals and gather and each share a story or fond memory about him. This is what was done for our mother. These are his wishes and the wishes of his family.

There are many favorite memories I have with my dad, there are many nights we had together where we would go outside to the balcony and talk for hours. It would be anything from how our day is going to whatever was on our mind. After our talks, I would always find happiness knowing I was able to talk to someone without any judgement.
