Obituary
Jeffery Dean Hanke was born on October 22, 1970. Jeff's parents, Gary Dean Hanke and Rita K Bertrand (Bolles) welcomed their first born at Iowa Methodist Hospital. Jeff married Angie (Beebe) on September 17, 2013 and resided in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Jeff was a warrior while fighting cancer and passed comfortably in their home. Cancer took his body on July 1, 2022 but his soul and spirit went to his eternal home, heaven.
Jeff dedicated his life to his family and work. In Jeff's final years he took immense joy relaxing with Angie on cruises and riding his motorcycle with his wife, family and friends. He also enjoyed boating, and skiing with his brother Jason and the rest of the family. A favorite memory of his was four-wheeling with family.
Jeff was best known for his work ethic and going beyond to help others. He was the Shop Manager for Manatt's Metro Division for the last 24 years. Earlier he worked for GNA Concrete and American Concrete. He was able to teach and touch many lives through his work. He inspired everyone to work hard and to be better than they were the day before. He was never afraid to lend his mechanical skills to a friend or family member in need.
Jeff started his family with Michele Davis when he welcomed his first son Jeffery Hanke Jr in 1988. Soon to follow he welcomed his daughter, Chantell Markert (Kyle Markert). Jeff completed his family with his son Jesse Hanke (McKenzie Wheeldon), and stepson Payton Huinker (Ashley Huinker).
Jeff is survived by many of his loved ones: His wife Angie; son, Jeffery Hanke Jr,; daughter, Chantell Michele Markert (Kyle Markert); son Jesse Hanke (McKenzie Wheeldon) and two grandchildren, Chase and Thea Hanke; Payton Huinker (Ashley Huinker) and two grandchildren, Avery and Ryann Huinker.
