Obituary
Doris Needham Dobbertin, 92, of Johnston, Iowa was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2023.
Doris had a strong love of God and cherished her family. Doris and John raised three sons in their 37 years of marriage.
After the passing of her husband John Needham, she was blessed to have met and fallen in love with Warren Dobbertin. They were married for 12 years and had a wonderful life together until Warren's passing.
She touched many hearts in her life and made their lives better by being a truly loving and caring woman.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Nina, sister Verna, and brothers Francis, Raymond, and Harold.
She leaves behind her sons David (Kathi) of Boise, ID, Kevin (Vicki) of Bondurant, IA, and Richard (Pam) of Des Moines, IA; 4 grandchildren David, Autumn, Ariel, and Collin; 3 great-grandchildren Meric, Mathias, and William.
Warren left Doris a son Warren Jr. (Connie); daughter Jan (Kurt), whom she loved as her own. Doris had always wanted a daughter and found that love in Jan.
Doris will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery following a graveside service for her immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions will be collected by the family and donated to the veterans and other charities of Mom's.
